WHY AND WHEN DID YOU START FITNESS AND SOCIAL MEDIA?

As a teenager, I hadn't considered myself a workout fanatic, and nobody had commented on my backside being remarkable. However, I already was a gymgoer as a teenager and after high school, I went to cosmetology school for makeup, and on the side I was working at a gym. This I when I put more effort in my workout. And then from all the working out at the gym job, my butt began to plump up.

And I've always been a social media freak. And I noticed that fitness was a big thing on Instagram. So I made an account called @motivationforfitness. I would post random motivated people working out, because I love motivating quotes, and people working out. Today I still have that account but I also have my @jenselter account which is my main stage.

WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS AND WHAT ARE YOUR DREAMS?

I am working on many things right now. I want my fans to really get to know me and my backstory, beyond my social platforms. I’ll be expanding into video and working with brand partners to further share my passion for fitness and motivating others.

Anything is possible when you push yourself to achieve your goals. I was putting up photos of myself at the gym and started getting a lot of likes. However, I know that I have to work hard to achieve my goals. It needs regularly posts and new ideas every day to keep me as a brand fresh and my fans engaged.

WHO IS YOUR FITNESS/ BODYBUILDING IDOL?

I do like other social media girls like Ashley Sky, but I would never copy her. Everything I share with my fans through social media is genuine, organic and authentic.

HOW DOES YOUR WORKOUT-PLAN LOOK LIKE?

You could probably guess that my fitness routine is focused on my glutes. But I don’t want to say too much here. I have a lot of special exercises for my behind. You will see my workout vids on my YouTube channel and I am also working on a line of upcoming fitness DVDs.

WHAT SUPPS DO YOU TAKE ON A DAILY BASIS?

I wouldn’t consider myself as a bodybuilder or a professional athlete, so I don’t take tons of supplements. However, I add protein powder to the oats I have in the morning. And in between lunch and dinner I always have a protein bar or a protein shake; it's the easiest snack to refuel with and the easiest to have when on the go.

WHAT IS YOUR MOTIVATION?

My family. They are my support system and I always turn to them when I’m seeking advice. Plus I have to say thanks for all the love and support to my fans. It is all of them who motivate me to keep doing what I am doing. Knowing that I am motivating so many people around the world is what motivates me, every day!

And during the workout music is my motivation. Most of my playlists consist of lots of hip-hop and house music. Some of my favorite artist are: 2 Chainz, Drake, Rihanna and Lil Wayne.

WHAT ARE YOUR TOP TIPPS YOU CAN GIVE EVERY GYMGOER OR SOCIAL MEDIALIST?

  • Anyone can acquire anything they set their hearts and minds to! It takes dedication, perseverance, hard work and consistency. There is no secret pill, no special diet. Consistency leads to results.
  • Never let negativity win. There will always be bullies and haters. Do your thing!
  • Anyone who works hard could be where I am. You can inspire others just as easily as working hard.
