WHY AND WHEN DID YOU START BODYBUILDING?

As a kid I was very active playing sports and my athleticism kept me lean and ripped. In comparison to other teenagers in my age group I was always one of the smallest. I was very sportive though. And to compete with others I knew I need to gain strength. That was my wakeup call. I began lifting weights at the age of 19.

After a few years of training I started working with a group of guys in New York City called the City Gym Boys. We all decided to do a bodybuilding show for fun. This pushed us all to train even harder. I ended up winning the whole show and that's when I got really pumped.

WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS AND WHAT ARE YOUR DREAMS?

I’ve achieved everything I want in the bodybuilding/fitness industry. I’ve won several bodybuilding shows, been in many many publications and coached countless of celebrities.

I am traveling the world with Musclemania and I am living my dream. Being a popular bodybuilder gives me the opportunity to promote the benefits of training and a proper diet. My goal is to motivate people on a mainstream commercial level – make the people do sports and eat healthy.

HOW DOES YOUR WORKOUT-PLAN LOOK LIKE?

My training is based around compound movements as my body responds best to these. I also add in super sets and drop sets to raise the heart rate and build endurance. Finally I always throw in a finisher to exhaust the muscle groups I’m training.

The special about my routine is the “wild card day” on every Saturday. I just pick a lagging body part and smash it on this extra day.

WHAT IS YOUR MOTIVATION?

To be absolutely honest, what motivates me Is to be the best! Why do something if you’re not gonna be the best? What’s the point?

I consider myself a natural born leader so I strive to be the best!

I also surround myself with people that keep me focused and motivated – my friends and family are always a great support and a great motivation for me.

An example of my Daily Diet looks like this:
  • Meal 1: 40g Whey Isolate Protein and a cup of Green Tea
  • Meal 2: 6 boiled Egg Whites, ½ a cup of Oatmeal, 1/2 a Grapefruit and 1 serving of BCAA’s
  • Meal 3: 40g Whey Isolate Protein
  • Meal 4: 6 oz. Chicken Breast and 1/2 a cup of Brown Rice
  • Meal 5: 6 oz. Tuna, 2 cups of Spinach, 1 small Banana & Flaxseed Oil
  • Meal 6: Post workout shake: 50g Whey Isolate, A serving of Vitargo, a serving of L-Glutamine, BCAA’s, Multi Vitamin & Vitamin C
  • Meal 7: 6 oz. Tilapia, 2 Sweet Potatoes & 1 cup of spinach
  • Meal 8: 2 scoops of Casein Protein, 1 serving of Fish Oil & a serving of Glutamine

WHAT ARE YOUR TOP 3 TIPPS YOU CAN GIVE EVERY GYMGOER?

My advise to anyone trying to build their physique is to be patient, dedicated, and determined. The key is to stick to your goals, keep focused, and allow your body to develop.

Stay driven – Give 110% every time you walk into the gym. Consistency is vital so never give up!

Visualization – Visualize the physique you want and set goals. Setting goals is the 1st step towards success!
